Enjoy the best of both cultures
Perched 1900 metres above sea level, Club Med La Rosiere – known as ‘The Balcony of the Tarentaiseski – is known for its exceptional 180° panoramic south-facing view.
A chic and intimate Savoyard jewel perfect for families, stone and wood cladding that dominates La Rosiere Accommodation has been carefully developed by the inhabitants of Montvalezan for a truly authentic ambience. Step inside the buildings to enjoy Savoyard interior design that tells the fabulous story of the Petit St Bernard pass.
This French family resort is steeped in history, tradition and breath-taking nature. Dotted with chalets built from stone, wood and slate, this magical village also hosts various events and competitions over winter, bringing together the world’s best freestyle skiers. You’ll also see lots of Saint Bernards here. Thanks to the dog’s role in searching for lost travellers in the mountains, this breed is a special symbol of La Rosière.
In the shadow of Mont Blanc, La Rosiere Ski holidays offer thrilling sport in an area that has seen Hannibal crossing the Alps on elephant and numerous pilgrims making their weary way to the splendour of Rome. La Rosière : maybe not a third time
Second time at la Rosière
Currently there ,
Still excellent resort for skiing but a few things have changed since last year.
Food
Food: The quality of food has changed in worse as well as the variety. Very limited choice of vegetarian options and fresh limited salad bar.
No mineral water available in the room, two bottles in the room which we need to fill ourselves in the ground floor, which I think quite appalling knowing how much we paid for this holiday. The last thing I was expecting to do is every night going down and filling my bottles.
The tower rail in the bathroom is not warm at all and the laundry is out of order since our arrival they advised me to go to the other building, which is much further if I wanted to dry my clothes.
There is no map of the slope available as they claim they want to go green. This is a bit ridiculous as the place is loaded with disposable plates and cups.
We were stuck in Italian side with no reception and we didn’t have access to online version of the map. It would’ve been very useful to have a paper version of the map. they advised us to go to city centre to get one from office de tourism.
I have to say that I haven’t seen the chef de Village who seems to be new. The previous one has always been present and involved and nearly all activities he was everywhere to be honest.

Perfect resort with bad food
The resort is absolutely fantastic. Proper ski in ski out, children were looked after perfectly, clean, new, beautiful. The slopes are right there, only two bad days weather wise, the rest was perfection.
Had to wait for transport to the resort for 3 hours. The food was cold all the time. Some dishes had nice flavor, but unless it was fried in front of you, it was very cold. Would never come back because not good value for money when you can’t enjoy any of your meals. The resort itself is perfect though.

Lovely ski trip spoilt by Alfredo Gourmet Manager attitude
Gourmet restaurant booking system needs to be checked out ( is preferential treatment being given to some customers?)

It was worth the money!
We had an amazing experience during the Christmas week in La Rosière. The ski slopes were perfect for the whole family. Our 2 kids (2 and 6 years old) had a lot of fun in their respective clubs. I especially want to thank Valentine, Tiphaine, Chloé and Anais to have created strong bonds with our kids.

A pleasure, great for families
A great place with very few things I can pick on. All of the staff are friendly and willing to help (particularly Mehmet in n the restaurant, he made our meals a fantastic experience, a very attentive server). The food is sensational and plentiful, drinks are always flowing, the facilities are modern and clean. For the most part the administration team were great and most things were clear. Our first day was very rushed due to our late arrival( no fault of club meds) the ski fitting etc was seamless and easy, the ski check in was a bit hectic but we found our Instructors eventually. Every instructor I had was attentive and willing to teach and be patient and above all they made more groups feel safe, Guy, Lillian, Brice and Paul were all excellent. My only compliant is that the toilets didn’t have toilet paper on many many occasions, and if I’m being honest, I would expect the cleaning and housekeeping to be at a higher standard, otherwise it would be 5 stars
