Overall, a fantastic trip!
We recently stayed for a week with our two daughters - age 2 and 3. Overall, we have very positive things to say.
The only negatives were as follows: the restaurant was a complete hectic, manic, over populated frenzy when it opened at 7pm for dinner (and the same at breakfast). I realise this is probably a cultural difference but British young children tend to eat a lot earlier than what the hotel allowed - so not being able to go to dinner until 7 pm when the restaurant opened (which is normally their bedtime) was challenging. I really think they should open the restaurant to just those families with young children (younger than age 6 perhaps?) from 5pm - 6.30pm as my 2 and 3 year old were way too hungry and tired by 7pm. At 7pm, everyone rushes in, walking in front of each other, there are queues for the pasta, meat and other food stations. It feels stressful and too crowded for capacity.
The pool is far too cold - for adults but especially for young children! For the price we paid, we expected them to heat the pool properly.
The welcome when we arrived was a little confusing, nobody properly greeted us so we were left hovering, not really knowing what to do or where to go but after 5 mins of confusion we were given our room key and our bags were taken to our room.
On a really positive note:
The hotel is clean, rooms are nice and there is added bonus of a swimming pool and a spa. The restaurant and bar staff are friendly and helpful. The staff in the childcare holiday club are absolutely fantastic and we felt reassured leaving the children. Both girls were happy - thank you! The children were able to play inside in an arts/crafts room, a 'gym' type toom and outside in the snow and they even took them swimming one day! A special shout out to Soline who was extra wonderful, going above and beyond. Jonathan at reception was also particularly helpful and friendly - thank you both.
The chefs made some wonderful food - every meal offered a massive selection and some very well presented and tasty options. Thank you.
The location could not be better - not too far from Grenoble airport - it took us 2 hours in a private transfer (the drivers organised for us were both fantastic) which is closer than other resorts. But the real wow factor is the ski in ski out location. It is brilliant, you can ski right to the door of the boot/locker room which is amazing. The ski area itself is great - The Grand Domaine area isn't massive but it was big enough for us and full of blue and red runs and not too busy on the pistes. There are enough ski lifts too.
We went into the centre of Valmorel (very easy taking the free bus) which is pretty with some restaurants and shops.
We would definitely recommend staying here!

Exceptional childcare
Great location for skiing. Bus every 30 mins into town.
Great atmosphere with kids and parents having fun. Big on kids activities.
Standard rooms and cleaning service. Quite small rooms.
Exceptional childcare - reason we booked the resort. First time handing over my 6m baby. Louna, Anaïs, Amarys and Ambre were amazing looking after him for the week and didn’t call me back once. Very capable. Would come back here for the childcare. They sent me pictures every day of activities - ball pit, mountain walking, toys, snow etc
Pool was too cold and hot tub too small for resort this size. Food was great but all self service as difficult to get a reservation in the restaurant and same menu all week in restaurant.

Excellent Stay with One Small Clarification Needed
I had a wonderful stay at Club Med Valmorel. Everything was excellent — the staff were extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful, and the food was absolutely delicious with a great variety and high quality throughout the stay.
The only thing I would suggest improving is the clarity of information regarding ski lessons for beginners. It would be very helpful if it were stated more clearly and more prominently that beginner-level skiers must arrive on Monday in order to join the group ski lessons. If arriving after Monday, it is mandatory to book and pay for a private instructor in order to receive guidance.
Aside from this point, the experience was truly fantastic, and I really enjoyed my time at the resort. I would definitely recommend it and would be happy to return in the future.

Snowboarding trip was fantastic
We had a fantastic week in Valmorel. The snow quality was very good (lucky us) and we had a great time snowboarding. Our ESF instructor (Remy) was excellent.
The hotel was very good - well maintained and good facilities. The food was lovely although a bit more variety would have been nice.
